Current and limited in structure, expressive and provincial in coat. The craftsman’s hand is truly imitated in this stoneware design planned solely for Case and Barrel by fired craftsman and architect Kathy Erteman at her eighteenth Road studio in New York City. A contemporary matte dark outside differentiates the rural excellence of a glossy, spotted white coated inside ringed with the unobtrusively lifted winding related with hand-tossed pieces. A raised mud edge includes a sandy coating that inspires the vibe of uncovered earthenware. To catch the craftsman look of this dinnerware, Erteman displayed models to genuine scale by hand with her unique coatings as reference for creation. In the expressions of the originator, “While making silverware, I think about plan and the afflictions of day to day use. The soul of my hand in these pieces is humble, to blend with and go about as a help to the pre-arranged fixings.”
